Am 14. September 2025 finden in Nordrhein-Westfalen wichtige Wahlen statt \u2013 darunter auch die Wahl des Essener Integrationsrats. F\u00fcr uns Gr\u00fcne ist klar: Mitreden, mitgestalten, ver\u00e4ndern \u2013 das sollten alle Menschen in unserer Stadt k\u00f6nnen, unabh\u00e4ngig von Herkunft, Nationalit\u00e4t oder kulturellem Hintergrund. In Essen leben etwa 115.000 Menschen ohne deutsche Staatsangeh\u00f6rigkeit, viele davon mit Migrations- oder internationaler Familiengeschichte. Sie haben die Chance, ihre Perspektiven in den politischen Prozess einzubringen \u2013 durch die Wahl des Integrationsrats.<\/p>\n

Was ist der Integrationsrat?<\/h3>\n

Der Integrationsrat ist ein zentrales Gremium in der Stadtpolitik, in dem gew\u00e4hlte Vertreterinnen der Migrantinnen-Community und Mitglieder des Stadtrates zusammenkommen. Gemeinsam setzen sie sich f\u00fcr eine inklusive, vielf\u00e4ltige und gerechte Stadt ein. Hier werden Themen wie Bildung, Arbeit, Wohnen und kulturelle Vielfalt diskutiert und vorangetrieben. Au\u00dferdem entscheidet der Rat \u00fcber die Unterst\u00fctzung und Anerkennung von Migrantenorganisationen und entwickelt Ideen f\u00fcr eine bessere Integration in Essen.<\/p>\n

Viele Menschen mit Migrationsgeschichte d\u00fcrfen bei den Kommunalwahlen nicht mitbestimmen, weil sie keine deutsche Staatsb\u00fcrgerschaft haben. Der Integrationsrat bietet ihnen eine wichtige M\u00f6glichkeit, ihre Anliegen direkt einzubringen und geh\u00f6rt zu werden.
